Saturday, September 8—

Opening Weekend--

"DCM Speedway" (10am-12pm and 1-3pm)

Lean into the bank, gun it out of the corner, and zoom past the other drivers on your incredible Roller Racer®. Experience the physics of lateral friction, force, and torque firsthand as you move the handlebars from side to side, propelling yourself around the racetrack. For miniature racing fun, stop by the Pit Row and explore how fast you can make toy cars can go when you use the mechanical advantage of inclines!

"Open Studio" (10am-3pm)
Use bingo daubers to paint circle art, create lots of bubbles from different objects, draw on the big chalkboard, and share a book with friends and family.

"Try Science: Be an Ecologist" (11am-12pm and 1-2pm)
Explore ecology, utilize the power of the water cycle, and discover the wonders of Earth's most vital natural resource through water play. Plant some seeds (future plants), travel on an imaginative journey as water molecules, and investigate the many roles that water plays in your own environment and throughout the planet.

"Red Light/Green Light" (11-11:30am and 1-1:30pm)
Learn all about the rules of the road, and then play a wheeled version of the classic stop-and-go game.
