DCM offers new worlds to explore – for kids, parents and teachers!

Dedicated to the principle of playful learning, kids get more out of the Delaware Children’s Museum than fun. And so can parents, grandparents, schools, community organizations and other important caregivers.

Just taking the time to enjoy our kids – to play with them and discuss what's going on in their world – is the best thing parents can do for their children's growing minds and emotional development. Learn more »

An inflatable, 19-foot walk-in globe, The Earth Balloon is a hard-to-resist teaching tool for grades K-12 and community organizations. The Delaware Children's Museum has reached tens of thousands of students through the Earth Balloon program since it began in 2004.

The Earth Balloon program is a full-day or half-day on-site field trip which allows participants to explore geography, map skills, topography, geology and other themes. The Earth Balloon serves as a hands-on supplement to classroom learning and comes with a trained facilitator who can work with you to design custom lesson plans featuring the topics your class is currently studying.
