WE ARE OPEN!

On Saturday, April 24th, we opened our doors for our first full day of operations.  We were very pleased to have Lt. Governor Denn, Senator Carper, Congressman Castle, County Executive Coons, and the Wilmington Children's Chorus help cut the front door ribbon at 9AM. Mother Nature cooperated, and the sun was shining down as the fun began.

Now we move onto business as usual. Which means lots of time to play in the Big Yellow Building in Riverfront Wilmington.

If you come:

Where: The Big Yellow Building in Riverfront Wilmington, 550 Justison Street, Wilmington, DE 19801

Hours: 9AM—4:30PM

If you have purchased your Membership already, your cards are waiting for you at the Front Desk!

Parking: Please help us be good neighbors and do not park in front of the nearby restaurants. Our FREE parking lot is directly across the street from the restaurants' parking lots—a quick and easy stroll to the DCM.

When you are traveling down Justison Street, you will see The Big Yellow Building (us!) on the left hand side; go through the stop light at Beech Street, and take your first right into that parking lot.

Food: We currently do not have on-site food service, but can't say enough good things about our friends and neighbors: Joe's Crab Shack, Iron Hill, and Big Fish Grill. All are family-friendly and delicious!

"I am mindful of the positive impact that a children's museum with a science, math and technology focus can have on kids' academic pursuits and career interests later in life. I've seen it in my own kids and have no doubt DCM can carry that same spark in the generations to come in Delaware."
